Check Terminal Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to use Check Terminal, including people with disabilities. This statement covers our website at checkterminal.com and the Check Terminal app at app.checkterminal.com.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG is the standard that courts and the US Department of Justice point to for accessible websites under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
What we do
- We design every page to work with a keyboard alone and to show where the keyboard focus is. Pages with menus offer a “Skip to content” link.
- Pages use headings, landmarks and labels that screen readers can announce, and we label every form field.
- We choose text and control colors that meet WCAG contrast ratios, and we pair status colors with text.
- Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on small screens, without losing content.
- Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
- We check pages with automated accessibility tools and manual keyboard testing.
Known limitations
- Printed checks and check PDFs. These are print layouts made for banks, so screen readers may not read them well. The same check details are available as text in the app and in CSV exports.
- Positive Pay and accounting export files. These are data files in formats your bank or accounting software requires.
- Sign-in and payment pages. Some sign-in and checkout screens come from our providers, and we cannot fully control them. We plan to replace our sign-in screens with our own.
If any of these gets in your way, contact us and we will help you get what you need another way.
Feedback and help
If you have trouble using any part of Check Terminal, or need information in another format, email support@checkterminal.com with “Accessibility” in the subject line. Tell us the page and what happened. We aim to reply within 5 business days, and we treat accessibility problems as bugs to fix.
